Dr. Matei

Dr. Matei’s journey into the world of dentistry began in her homeland of Romania, where she completed her initial dental education. Her passion for the field led her to the prestigious New York University College of Dentistry, where she earned an MS in Biomaterials and a Certificate in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry.

Driven by a commitment to excellence, Dr. Matei pursued advanced training in implantology in Switzerland as an ITI Scholar. There, she had the opportunity to train with some of the most renowned experts in the field. Upon returning to the USA, she dedicated her expertise to teaching as a full-time faculty member at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and as an assistant professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Matei is also a LANAP certified clinician since 2024, demonstrating her commitment to staying at the forefront of dental innovation. Her research has been widely recognized, with several co-authored publications in peer-reviewed journals focusing on the in vivo and in vitro characterization of biomaterials for tissue reconstruction and regeneration, dental implants, and periodontal regeneration.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Matei enjoys hiking and savoring good food, often accompanied by her beloved dog. Her journey reflects a deep dedication to her field and a continuous pursuit of knowledge, making her a distinguished figure in the realm of dentistry. Dr. Peto

Dr. David Peto is a board-certified periodontist practicing in New Jersey and New York. He grew up in Toronto and attended the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry.

Upon graduation, Dr. Peto pursued additional hospital-based training at the Los Angeles County/University of Southern California Medical Center. At the completion of his residency, he worked as a general dentist and also joined the faculty at USC to teach at the program.

Dr. Peto realized that his passion was helping patients save teeth, and making life-changing differences to his patients’ smiles. He attended the periodontics program at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He became proficient in all aspects of periodontal surgery, including osseous surgery, extractions, bone grafting, sinus lifts, and gingival grafting.

He returned to Southern California, practicing in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, and Long Beach. In order to offer patients the most up-to-date treatment, he pursued training in LANAP, the minimally-invasive laser gum surgery as an alternative to conventional gum surgery. Dr. Peto also worked as a clinical instructor at the University of California Los Angeles teaching the undergraduate dental students.

Dr. Peto has published articles regarding generic control of bone formation as well as cosmetic periodontal surgical procedures.

Dr. Peto prides himself on his conservative approach to patient care, and strives to provide evidence-based treatment to achieve the best outcomes. He is particularly excited by advances in digital implant surgery, which allow for accurate, safe, and ideal treatment for his patients.
